eBay and automatic feedback for selling
Why doesn't Ebay automatically provide feedback for a sale that was completed successfully with the buyer?
In many sales that went through fine, the buyer doesn't leave positive feedback. At this point, why doesn't ebay do it directly? Does anyone have an answer on this? Thanks everyone.

I’ll list the possible cases in which interaction between seller and buyer may or may not lead to feedback being left
Buyers:
A) are satisfied with the purchase and leave feedback
B) are satisfied with the purchase and DO NOT leave feedback
C) are NOT satisfied with the purchase but do nothing, do not leave feedback, do not open a dispute, nor contact the seller to report the problem or their dissatisfaction
D) Are not satisfied with the purchase, do not open an ebay dispute but leave negative feedback
E) Are not satisfied with the purchase and open an ebay dispute.
What you would like is NOT the classic feedback that reports the completed sale, but one that states that you have completed a sale.
This function has already been ADDED by ebay.
As a buyer I can see that you have already made 44 sales and, as a seller, in the feedback received from other users as a seller you have never had any negatives.
So I can deduce that you are a reliable seller.
Kind regards.

·1 year agoAbsolutely needs to be implemented and I agree with the OP, I’ve seen a few cases like "This user has completed a sale" posted by "automatic eBay"; from what little I’ve understood, it only applies to sellers with few feedback ratings (< 10) who don’t receive any signal from the buyer after a certain number of days.
It’s not fair to bend over backwards, especially to maintain a high performance, for the buyer and not even receive a tiny positive "ok" because in the end that’s all we need, we’re not asking for the mega essay-style review with photos of the product from a thousand angles and I think I speak for everyone...
Back when, buyers used to leave feedback much more easily; now if all goes well, 1-2 out of 10 leave it, it’s incredibly frustrating because it doesn’t let you rise as a seller score, here we’re not talking about the "nature of the meaning of feedback", simply in 99% of cases when the sale goes well, the user stays silent (and silence means consent) and sends neither a private message confirming nor leaves feedback... in the remaining cases, that is when there’s some problem it’s always either a private message with the description of the problem or, even worse, no private message and directly negative feedback on the profile without any chance to appeal because they ignore you like kids who are sulking out of spite.
Buyers are also far too spoiled by eBay and they always get away with it, between refunds and a thousand other things because after all "the customer is always right", and for more than a decade now you can’t even leave negative feedback for the customer... Now on top of that, we sellers don’t even get a spit of "thanks" for the effort and time we spend making sure the buyer is satisfied as best as possible, getting the item to them quickly and intact and everything.... while other profiles "rise" with fake sales and related fake feedback, honest sellers are left with 2/3 of their feedback missing (minimum) because the buyer simply doesn’t give a damn once they’ve received the item and eBay does nothing.
Just set a maximum limit of 30-60 days, something like that or at least, at least, automatically after TOT days once tracking shows it as delivered and the buyer hasn’t opened any claim, as it is now it’s really ridiculous and I repeat, frustrating.
I myself have had to, and still have to, go "begging" for feedback via private message because almost no one leaves it, it’s not right, sellers need protecting too from time to time...
Up and +1, do a poll or something.

·2 years agoBecause it would no longer be a voluntary thing and not mandatory, but would become a simple "sales count" and would not reflect the nature of the meaning of feedback.
But my question is: how would ebay be able to establish in advance that the sale had “ended well”?
The simple payment for the item does not at all mean that the sale ended well.
Kind regards.
