eBay allows you to sell, how is that possible???

I bought a counterfeit Sandisk Ultra Flair pendrive, all certified by the manufacturer, who spent 1 hour on the phone and even connected remotely to my PC to make sure; he asked me for photos of the product and packaging. The serial number is missing + the capacity is engraved + the data from "device management" do not match. In the end he prepared an email for me (see attachments) that I can use, and they made themselves available if needed. I reported everything to eBay, but the seller defamari keeps selling. The questions come naturally: in the face of such overwhelming evidence, how can eBay still allow him to sell? Don't they both risk anything??? All legal?

You certainly can’t expect a reseller to open packages and start doing this kind of checks.

Sometimes the clones are reproduced so well that you need the original to spot the small differences.

And we’re not just talking about fake 1TB sticks that are actually 16GB, but about pendrives with the same capacity as the original.

But the problem isn’t limited only to memory cards or pendrives; let’s say just about everything gets copied, from power supplies to lithium batteries....... to food....

The only thing you can do is return it when you realize you’re dealing with a counterfeit product.

Unfortunately most users don’t even notice it, just look at the majority of positive reviews on Amazon for obviously counterfeit items.

The level of observation and awareness of the masses is rather weak or superficial, so these clones/copies keep circulating because returns are very few compared to purchases that are completed successfully / go through fine.

It is a DUTY, especially for a professional seller.

Hi sika700, don’t you know that in perfumery we also open all, absolutely all, the packages of perfumes, cosmetics & makeup, even if they’re still sealed, and we try them one by one to guarantee their authenticity and genuineness? Then the customers buy happier... 🤣

Fine.

So when you buy a NEW smartphone, with the packaging opened and the seal broken, I imagine you’re totally satisfied with the good job done by the seller ..

In any case, for most users this kind of situation usually means a purchase that didn’t go through properly, such as a return, or a return because they changed their mind after it had been used by a previous buyer.

All this attacking the seller by leaving that negative feedback could have been avoided simply by opening a return request for an item not as described. You would have gotten back 100% of what you paid and very likely the seller would also have given up getting the item back.

But there are users who prefer to go down the road of discredit and controversy against a seller.

Good morning heavenwelkin, the poster had already written about it, and according to him he has already been refunded.

The post was then largely removed, because he stubbornly insisted on mentioning the seller's name, publicly calling him a scammer.

When it was pointed out to him that it wasn't possible to publicly defame a seller, he took it out, as usual, on the person who pointed it out to him, insisting that he was doing it to protect other future buyers (who ever comes to the community before buying, only afterward to complain).

In reality, his is just a personal vendetta against the seller, because he was refunded and still left him a negative, and as if that weren't enough he also wanted to defame him publicly.
