I’d like to know how you handle the process of receiving payments that are tied to the actual delivery of the package to the customer. What strategies do you use to make sure the payment goes through smoothly once the package has been delivered? Have there been cases where you’ve run into problems with this method? unfortunately eBay with AI changed the original text for me.
In short, I wanted to know if you’re also receiving eBay payments only after the order has been delivered to the buyer.
Because for us they’ve been using this system for about a month, only after eBay verifies that the package has been delivered after 24/48 hours do they send us the payment, and it’s causing us a bit of trouble.

·1 week agoThis is happening to us too, exactly this. What I find particularly questionable is that eBay does not require tracked shipping in its rules, but by effectively making the release of funds conditional on delivery verification, it ends up making it almost mandatory. In our case, even funds from sales for which the buyer has already left positive feedback confirming receipt are being withheld. I’d be interested to know whether this is happening to you too and what you think of this new system.

OP1 week agoHello astainvista, after sending about 10 emails, we figured out that they hold the payment for up to 72 hours after the package is received.
The problem arises when we ship to Europe or to America, so seeing your funds in your current account will take a long time.
I’m not really in agreement; I’ve personally been on eBay for 13 years and this seems absurd to me, as if they no longer trust us.
I won’t deny that I’m thinking about opening an online shop and growing it little by little.

·1 week agoWe’ve been using eBay for many years too, and we think this system is ridiculous, especially because tracked shipping is not mandatory.
In our case, we have funds held for over 14 days, even for sales already received and confirmed with positive feedback.
When you say they pay you within 72 hours of delivery, did eBay officially tell you that in writing? They gave us different and contradictory information.
Personally, I don’t think what they’re doing is right, and I’m seriously considering protecting my rights through the proper channels.

·1 week agoI'll add one last point: payment restrictions are justified by eBay, among other things, with unusual activity or issues with the seller's performance. In our case, none of this applies.
This inevitably raises a doubt: that this system is in fact meant to push sellers toward tracked shipping. But if this is the direction eBay has chosen, why not simply make it clear in the rules, instead of allowing untracked shipping and then penalizing those who use it?

OP1 week agoTo close the matter, I think they raised this nice little train to keep the currencies in their own bank accounts and make even more money from it.
Imagine how much money from all the sellers at the national and European level.
Think how many millions of € are sitting in the bank earning interest.
