African giraffes and sales limit
Every now and then some fake African pops up and clicks on 3/4 Buy It Now items, keeping the things blocked that he obviously will never pay for.
after the fateful 4 days pass, you cancel the sales and when you try to put the items back up for sale, you discover that it won’t let you list them because you’d exceed the sales limit.
The problem is that it counts the same item twice and, to get an exact count and be able to relist the things, you have to wait a month and sometimes even longer. this is because the customer service auditors, nice as they are, have no power to speed up the process; at most they can report the problem.
do any of you know of a method or a contact number that could fix this without having to wait forever?

·3 years agoComing back to this "old" thread, if eBay has given you FURTHER increases in the LIMITS for a private account with few feedback means that the algorithms don't look only at the amounts but are also based on several other parameters.
I won't bother doing the math like last time because you have 294 items and I'd be up all night, but if we assume an average of 200 euros per item, we're at 60,000 euros worth of items for sale, maybe less or maybe more 🙂
Maybe in your case, since you're selling NICHE items like antique books, the limitations come second to that.

·3 years agoIn addition to the advice you already got about using Buy It Now with immediate payment, you could block buyers you already know cause problems for you. Go here:
https://www.ebay.it/bmgt/buyerrequirements
Click on Manage the blocked buyers list
and enter the user's username that you want to block.

·3 years agoFor being a "new" private seller account, eBay has let you list almost 17,000 euros worth of goods for sale.
It’s not that bad after all, in my opinion........
As for the African fake thing, I don’t know whether they might be interested in the items you sell; it could be some "competitor" you’re bothering. In any case, UNFORTUNATELY those are eBay INTERNAL counters that reset monthly and the operators cannot change them.
If you have this kind of problem, you can opt for Buy It Now with immediate payment, and if they make you any purchase offer, try sending an email asking what kind of shipping they prefer (it’s an excuse) to see whether they reply, so you can assess them before accepting any possible purchase offer.

you're a new private seller and as such you can't sell everything you want... the monthly limits were designed to protect buyers... not sellers.
So, to speed things up, you need to sell fewer items and organize yourself to stay within the set limits.
When you have more experience, eBay will probably raise those limits for you.
