feedback function
Good evening,
I wanted to ask how the feedback increase works.
compared to actual purchases, there are a couple of stars missing. I myself left feedback for everyone.
Do I need to ask the seller to release it?
(I thought it was automatic)

If you buy more than one item, on the same day, from the same seller, only one feedback will be counted for you.

in our opinion feedback should be mandatory, whether negative or positive, so that there is a real picture especially for professional sellers.

·3 years agoIf it were mandatory, it would no longer be a rating of the transaction but simply a sales count... if you want to see how many sales the seller has made, you can see it here... at the top:

for example, you sold 82 items against the 34 feedback received.

Feedback is not mandatory, and they have introduced something similar to automatic feedback.
Recently eBay has also introduced (or rather made visible) the number of items sold, so the potential buyer, even if they don't see any negative or neutral feedback and there are only a few feedback entries, can see the total items sold to get an idea.
Then with the new feedback system, where it is much harder to leave them when they are not necessary or out of spite, the eBay + seller combination is rewarded; in the event of a dispute, where the seller does not step in (through inexperience, lack of knowledge of the rules, or otherwise), eBay comes to the rescue of the buyer.

·3 years agofeedback has always been optional ( I think it would be pointless to open a debate here on the forum about whether it is right or not, especially given the numerous posts on the subject accumulated over the years.....);
maybe ( but only maybe.... ) it would be more useful to remind Ebay of it when the chance comes up ( perhaps if many people ask for it, they will take it into account for the future...... although I doubt it)

·3 years agoAs already said, feedback is not mandatory, but the seller certainly doesn’t make a good impression by not leaving it! You can always send them a message politely pointing it out... for example something like this:
"Excuse me, I see that you haven’t returned my feedback and I’d like to know whether there were any problems with my transaction or whether it was simply an oversight. Thank you"
If they’re a serious seller, they’ll reply that they had forgotten. Otherwise, next time you buy from them, don’t leave them feedback either (when it happens to them, they usually get the point... 😅).

feedback is optional... there is no obligation on either the seller's or the buyer's part to leave it.
In general, it is left almost immediately after receiving the item... or sellers can choose to leave it automatically after receiving payment or after receiving the buyer's feedback.
I repeat, it is totally optional.... and requests to leave feedback, more often than not, do not produce any result.
