GPSR and used, vintage and similar products

Question, I understand the point of the GPSR, but there are some types of items that are objectively complicated to make.
Example:
If I have a single Pokemon card, do I need to go and enter Nintendo's details?
then:
If I have a vinyl record from 1980, what do I need to put?
If I have a ceramic statue, a beer tray.
In short, things where CLEARLY finding the manufacturer's\supplier's\whatever information is impossible, what should be done?
But above all, is there currently a way to mass edit listings?
Going in and editing thousands of listings one by one is a problem.
Honestly, I'm seriously wondering whether it will be possible to keep selling or not.
It seems to me there are things that will become "impossible"; a trivial but practical example: I have a Super Nintendo pad, in the box there's nothing except a generic "made in China" means that that pad can no longer be sold on ebay?

I’ve opened a professional eBay seller profile and I deal in spare parts for motorcycles, scooters and vintage Vespas, all original, dated stock leftover from old inventory, and I’m trying to adapt to this GPSR but I’m not very familiar with it. For example, I have some Malaguti parts, but Malaguti no longer exists; in this case, what should I enter in the manufacturer details? Or I have Yamaha Booster parts, which Yamaha headquarters should I enter? Thanks to anyone who can help me

·1 year agoTo do bulk editing, just use the files from the report tab, which are either csv or xlsx. Also, in my opinion, what matters is "putting in some information anyway"; I don't think eBay can check millions of listings to see what was entered. I personally produce and sell fridge magnets. I created my own personal instruction manual in pdf in 5 languages and I put it in all the listings as Safety Document. I am the manufacturer (since the directive says that if the manufacturer is not in the EU, you have to enter the first person responsible after them who is in the EU) so since my first supplier is in China, after them comes me, who buy them directly from them, which by the way I produce. Then I put as symbol one of the two symbols (between 0-3 years and CE). The mandatory info to enter are 3. I do a Revise through the Report Tab file and that's it.

·1 year agoI'm reaching out to a legal consultant to understand, first and foremost, what information to include.
I exclusively sell clothing and accessories, mostly vintage (at least 70%). The regulations seem complex to me, especially for those who have a variety of products. Many companies are closed, others are no longer in Europe, and still others have a different name. Even if I wanted to put in all the goodwill in the world, I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I also want to respond to those who ask whether you can list yourself as the EU Responsible Person: the answer is no.
We'll see what the consultant tells me, because at the moment I only see closing the account as the only solution. I'm really discouraged and disheartened.

·1 year agoThe European Union, I think it’s now clear even to those who aren’t interested in regulations, has in its bag a whole series of requirements that pop up one after another in an alarmist way, almost to fuel a hypothetical sense of guilt for those who don’t rush to take cover. The GPSR is a regulation (hurry up, don’t waste time, rush to take cover, don’t wait for the December 2024 deadline! Stay alert !! ) on general safety related to products sold in the European Union. Safety of non-food consumer products. The name of the manufacturer, the importer, and so on and so forth must be indicated. But from what I understood, and I may have missed something, I understand it for new products. If I sell a Barbie doll from 1960, I already have everything I need in the listing to describe in detail its life, death, and miracles. And then some. So.. for now I’m ready for anything. Unless I also put up for sale a Mauser 7.63 with a 20-round magazine and a beechwood stock holster, used in the Second World War, but that issue doesn’t arise since it is prohibited to offer war weapons and otherwise, on the platform. It may be that I missed something in the regulations as stated, but as the English say: let me drink this dark beer, then we'll talk about it again....no ? Best wishes.

And products that do NOT have the CE mark because they predate its existence? or because they are unboxed (for example, I sell a toy without packaging or a porcelain statue) or because it is not shown? (on the packaging of music CDs, even recent ones, for example, the CE mark is not shown)

We'll see what happens, but today it would seem that, without this information, the item can no longer be sold.
Something similar happened with machine tools; used ones could not be sold without CE marking and many were destined for scrapping.

We need to see whether it falls among the CE-marked items covered by Directive 2001/95/EC, compliant with that directive and placed on the market before 13 December 2024, which can continue to be sold without GPSR.
