I have a question
Within a few months I made three purchases from a seller in China and two in France
All three told me the item was not in stock, but in reality they had removed the listing and put the item back on sale at a higher price, is that possible?
Does Ebay allow this?

·2 years agoif you bought and they gave you this reason (and so they cancelled the sale) at most you can report them through the relevant Ebay procedure..... but in practical terms they are not obliged to ship you the item;
if instead they closed the listing and then reopened it without any purchase from you.... completely normal

·2 years agoIn addition to the targeted advice received above, you need to make a consideration within yourself that applies
to any transaction. Inside, outside of eBay, or on the road. Just as there are buyers
of every type and background, there are sellers of every stripe and kind. It is not enough to follow common sense,
trust, or a site's rules to complete a good transaction. You need the ability
to understand who you're dealing with to reduce the chance of dissatisfaction. There is no room for
hurry or superficiality. You have to read between the lines by observing how someone speaks or writes.
By how they behave with others too. If, for example, I see a nice watch and ask the seller
a detail not mentioned, and he replies: as described. I don't ask any more questions,
I don't waste time asking around here and there because that's rude, you get it? There is a risk that he doesn't know what he's offering and I move on. If a buyer writes to me that the item for sale seems fake,
I suggest they not make any offers. Stop. You need to know how to move in every field, exactly as in real life. Don't get discouraged and use strategy. In any situation, even non-commercial ones.

OP2 years agomy issues with sellers very well. Apparently there are
sellers who use a certain kind of tactic.
Surely it’s not ebay’s fault.

·2 years agono ( see Ebay rules) : if someone wins the item at a certain price, the seller either sells it or cancels (stating the reason) , they cannot subsequently change the price at will (.... and this seems obviously logical to me..... )

·2 years agoIf these sellers have put it back up for sale at a higher price, it is likely that this product is not immediately available.
By raising the price, the chances that someone will buy it decrease.
The fact of keeping the auctions active anyway is done for technical reasons.
Because on eBay, after a certain amount of time, closed auctions can no longer be recovered.
Let’s say that a well-organized seller could easily close the listings, but not all sellers are at the same organizational level.
For some, it means recreating the listing from scratch.
I understand the inconvenience but if they don’t have it available for shipping there’s not much to do.... try to see if you can find this item elsewhere.....
