Your funds will be withheld
Summary: The discussion seems to revolve around an issue related to withholding funds, as indicated by the subject, "Your funds will be withheld." However, the specific content of the replies is not provided, so it is not possible to understand the details or solutions discussed among the participants identified as tecnostore2014, marioelegio, cuneesi, and heavenwelkin.
Today I received this email from ebay:
"Following a recent review, we have changed the way payments on your account will be processed.
From today, buyers' funds will continue to be held until delivery has been confirmed through tracking or by your buyers in the form of feedback or communication and released after 72 hours from confirmation."
I've been an ebay seller for more than 10 years, top-rated reliable, I don't understand why this absurd decision was made, has anyone else received the same communication?
How do you fix it?

·11 months agoChange your customer segment and type?
I see a lot of negatives for items under 2 euros.
The algorithms don’t distinguish between an item worth 1.50 euros and one worth 1500 euros.
I think it’s a rating issue, try contacting support and see if they can give you a bit more guidance.
Regards.

·11 months agoAnyway Tecnostore2014, in my opinion 72 hours in the end are excellent, I know it’s a bit annoying, but if you look at Amazon they pay us 14 days after the customer receives the package, and there’s no way to reduce this time.

·11 months agoTop-reliability seller with 98% non-negatives. If we were to add the neutrals, the score would drop a lot, which is why I advised him to check the stats on his console, there he can see how he ranks compared to other sellers in his sector.
The 72 hours start from delivery confirmation, so something serious happened for it to have gone from the two working days after payment to 72 hours after delivery confirmation.

·11 months agoMaybe the problem is more the 113 neutrals than the 76 negatives from the last year. Many are for item not received. On your console you should see the statistics regarding the cases that were opened.

·11 months agoBut even if it's listed as a "top reliability seller"? I mean, he has 98% positive feedback in a year...

·11 months agoeBay's algorithms have become quite sophisticated and take into account a wide range of parameters and seller behaviors, the workings of which are often unknown in detail to most people or in most cases.
Let's remember that a buyer who reports an item as not received and gets a refund but leaves no feedback is still included in the algorithm calculations.
