Information about shipping settings for international sellers
I've been trying for a while to figure out how to charge buyers unified shipping costs for purchasing different listings, but since I sell worldwide, I can't get to the bottom of it.
- The "request total" function that the buyer can click when they have multiple items in the cart doesn't work. For months my buyers have been seeing "the seller does not accept combined shipping" even though it is enabled in my profile
- Combined payments with a promotional rule don't give me the option to split the various countries in the world, forcing me to enter a figure that is too high if I wanted to include the whole world, or to enter only one figure for Italy but exclude any other country from the rule.
The way I'm doing it now, Italians pay a maximum of €9.90 for any purchase, but as it is I have no way to set a different amount valid for other countries in the world.
Has anyone who sells worldwide, or even just throughout the EU, figured out how to offer combined payments both for Italy and for other countries by setting different amounts?

Generally speaking, it can happen that items of various kinds are put up for sale, ranging from a postcard to a washing machine, so it becomes difficult to find a way to automate all the possible variables...
For international shipments, things are even more complex....
If a foreign buyer has asked you to buy more than one item, you can bypass the problem by asking the buyer to send you purchase offers.
So you need to modify the auctions they are interested in by adding the buy offer option and, once you have agreed on the total price including shipping, have them send you the various purchase offers for the items.
After that, you can send them an invoice with the total amount to pay.
Or alternatively, you have them pay for the items in full and then send them a refund for the difference not owed for shipping costs.
The seller and the buyer must still interact and communicate; it is not yet possible to automate the entire process 100% with zero interaction between the parties involved.
Kind regards.
