Royal Canin listing mistakenly removed as “prescription-only drug”
Good morning, I’d like to know if this has happened to anyone else too.
I listed a brand new, sealed 1.5 kg package of Royal Canin Satiety Weight Management for cats and eBay removed the listing by applying the policy related to prescription drugs. The product is not a drug and does not require a prescription: it is a complete dietary food for cats. I have already disputed the removal, but in the reply I received eBay even claims that the product contains “ingredients that require a prescription from a licensed professional,” without however saying which ingredients these would be. What leaves me even more puzzled is that the exact same Royal Canin Satiety Weight Management 1.5 kg is currently being sold on eBay Italy by another private seller. I have been registered on eBay since 2007, I have 100% positive feedback, and I have never had any problems or violations. In the past I also sold two packages of Royal Canin dietary food for dogs without any issues.
I have already written to customer service specifically asking for a manual review by a human operator and am waiting for a reply.
Has anyone had similar false positives with the prescription drugs policy and managed to get the listing actually reviewed again?
My main concern is that, even if it is restored, the automatic system may block it again and that these mistaken removals could affect my account.
