Sales limit
Good morning everyone, I'm not clear on what the monthly and annual sales limits are, considering that I'm not a professional seller but an occasional one, even though in truth I always have things for sale. What happens if I exceed the limits? Thanks

·1 year agoit depends on what you mean by sales limit: obviously Ebay doesn't place any particular limits on you, especially if you sell frequently on the platform ( = the more you sell, the more Ebay earns commissions..... ) ;
the tax issue is different, also in light of the ( ...quite..... ) recent DAC7......

·1 year agoAnyway, I was looking and your account dates back to 2004, so I think you won’t be able to see the sales limits table, since if you started selling back then, your account most likely has no sales limits.

Even if spread over 20 years, that's still a lot; an average of 1 sale every 2 days can't be considered occasional.

To check your selling limits you need to go here (if you have enabled the extended version of the seller console):
https://www.ebay.it/sh/ovw
then at the bottom right you should find the box that says:
If you exceed the limits (maximum amount of items or maximum number of items) what happens is that you can't list any more items for sale.
If you have a very old account that you've kept active over the years as a private seller, you probably won't see any box about selling limits, because old eBay accounts were not yet set up to have selling limits.
Selling limits arrived many years later....
Now with this DAC thing many active sellers have received an increase in their monthly selling limits.
