good morning,
unfortunately I didn’t remember that I had items for sale and, a buyer purchased them. Obviously I knew nothing about it because I barely check that email, and so, after an eBay dispute, they rightly refunded the buyer, but the fees were NOT returned to me. I called support and they told me that I should have closed the dispute myself, that it’s a punishment because I behaved badly, does that make sense to you?...
I haven’t sold or bought anything for a long time... anyway, I remember years ago, it was a pleasure being here to sell and buy, now.... too little freedom.... I think that even though I have almost 500 positive votes and my daughter 1500... obviously earned in the best years..... it’s time to leave, anyway I’m waiting, maybe someone can give me hope of seeing my money again (and not a little...(for me almost 2 days’ work). thank you.

·1 year agoThe same thing happened to me when a buyer opened a dispute for an item not received.
If the seller does not take steps to resolve the problem with the buyer and the dispute goes through an eBay decision, the fees are the seller's responsibility.
Before leaving eBay, you could leave a message for the buyer apologizing for the inconvenience, so at least you try to avoid a negative feedback as well.
Best regards

·1 year agoIf you only "woke up" when the buyer, after the expected delivery terms had passed, rightly opened a dispute and, despite that, the time you were given to close it on your own also expired, eBay only did what its rules provide.
It is not a "punishment": it is simply the application of the old Roman Law that said: "Vigilantibus non dormientibus iura succurrunt"...
