missing sales notifications by email
Hello everyone,
I saw in "help among users" that someone has the same problem as me (but I don't seem to be enabled to reply). For a couple of days now, I haven't been receiving sale notifications by email, or rather, maybe out of 5 sales I only get a couple. I absolutely haven't changed anything in the settings. I should add that this only happens in my professional account, while in this one everything is fine.
Has anyone had the same problem?
Thanks and Happy New Year
Alberto

It’s not necessarily the case that the problem is due to eBay.
It could be the anti-spam filters of the various email providers.
UNFORTUNATELY, sometimes there are upstream filters even before the spam folder, so some emails simply don’t arrive because they get filtered before reaching your email inbox.
Anyway, you did the right thing by reporting it here on the forum, and maybe let us know which email account you’re having these problems with.
Kind regards.

in fact I don't have anything even checking spam, it could be as you say that they are filtered at the source, what maybe sounds strange to me is that between my wife and me we have 3 accounts (2 to get rid of the piles of stamps and comics I have at home and 1 professional one for work) all with gmail and for now the problem is only on the professional one.
We'll see how it develops in the next few days.
Happy holidays

·1 year agoHi kilowarefilatelico
It happened to me with subito notifications with a yahoo account
For at least 6 months most of the emails stopped coming and I no longer even got notifications of questions or other requests.
Nothing even reached spam.
About 1 month ago everything went back to normal and the notifications started working again.
I’m adding these details for completeness:
Email provider-level filters
Automatic anti-spam filters: Email providers such as gmail can apply security filters upstream, before the emails even reach the inbox or spam. These filters are based on criteria such as:
-The sender’s reputation (the marketplace domain).
-The frequency of sending emails.
-Suspicious content (links, keywords, etc.).
Misconfigurations in the sender’s mail server (e.g. SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
Temporary blocking of the sender’s domain: If the marketplace domain has had problems (for example, it was temporarily classified as "unsafe"), gmail may have blocked its emails without notifying you.
Technical email flow timeout
Email service providers often implement throttling mechanisms, meaning they limit the number of emails sent from a given domain to avoid spam. If the marketplace exceeded these thresholds, the messages may have been queued or blocked.
Let us know if anything gets unblocked in the next few days.
