Shipping methods Poste Delivery Business for Italy and abroad
I’d like to ask whether, to ship parcels with Poste Delivery Business within Italy or abroad, it’s necessary to open a VAT number, which means, if I’m not mistaken, having to pay taxes on it? I don’t understand this point. Can private individuals request this shipping service? It seems quite cheap and a very interesting alternative for sending parcels, but I haven’t fully understood the VAT issue and whether all sellers can use the service.

·1 year agoYou probably found Poste Delivery Business among the shipping options on ebayspedizioni.
Even if you had a VAT number, you wouldn’t be able to get those very low rates because, as technopartsbay wrote, to get those prices you have to be a shipping reseller (broker) who handles a huge number of shipments each month.

·1 year agoAs the good Von reminded us, the business service is reserved for company owners (and therefore for VAT-registered businesses).
However, don't expect big discounts compared to the equivalent standard shipping.
Or rather, it all depends on the monthly "numbers" you guarantee: if you don't reach them, the discount you initially get goes down.
And obviously the more you increase that "number," the more you're helped out.
Brokers, who guarantee even over 10,000 shipments a week, get very (very...) attractive rates, but a small dealer will never reach those numbers...

·1 year agoYou always have to consider that the reality of advertisements for any service is very different from the reality behind them. The purpose of advertising is sales, not solving problems, obviously. This service, which includes a range of different Business services that are faster or intended for shipments abroad, is reserved for companies. For all my parcels as a private individual, I always use Delivery Standard at 9.40 euros. Asking for detailed phone information about this Poste Italia service is not very easy. Best regards
