Do not display payment and book shipping method
Hello everyone,
I had literally forgotten about my Ebay account and the 4 things that had been for sale for years. Unexpectedly, I sold a book and found myself confused. I can’t see the payment and I’m being asked to create a shipping label in order to proceed. I received the sold item email, but I can’t understand what payment method was used to pay for the book and therefore I can’t see that amount.

OP3 years agoThanks everyone, truly! I hadn’t actually linked IBAN to it, now I don’t know how long the data verification takes.
One last thing, can I finally skip the step associated with Packlink and send the book with the recommended Pieghi di libri service?

·3 years agoThat the account was enabled for sales was in fact visible.
The fact that ebay then allows people to put items up for sale without requiring them to enter and validate an IBAN seems like NONSENSE to me, given that it's the only way to receive payments.
In fact, it's already happened that some sellers found themselves in your same situation but then didn't want to complete the procedure with the IBAN, ending up with their money blocked in their ebay account.
I at least hope that with the new account activations they have made entering and validating the iban mandatory in order to unlock putting items up for sale.
As for the ebay+packlink shipping service you can safely skip it / ignore it since it's optional and ship with the shipping service you prefer most.

·3 years agoAs they told you, it is assumed that you have already linked an IBAN for a bank account or card with IBAN; otherwise your auctions would have been closed without the switch to the new payment rules. If that’s not the case, sort it out, otherwise you’ll never see your money.
By now, if eBay confirms the payment, you have to ship before actually receiving the amounts, since as an infrequent seller your money won’t be released until at least 15-21 days, and if the buyer opens a dispute for item not received, you’ll have to refund with your own money since, as I said, the one from the sale eBay will release later.

·3 years agoAccounts already enabled for selling can be recognized by a "detail" compared to accounts that are not enabled.

·3 years agoYou have been paid on ebay. Your account appears to have been UPDATED with the new selling TERMS, including IBAN entry, etc.
Otherwise your auctions would have been automatically closed with no possibility of putting them back up for sale.
That said, the payment collection procedure has changed.
You no longer receive the money in your paypal account, but in your ebay account, which then forwards it to your bank current account.
So you need to go to the payment summary
https://www.ebay.it/sh/fin/summary
then check that you have actually received the money.
If you have received it, you can proceed with shipping.
