Item purchased immediately after the listing was posted from a new account with no information
Good evening, I’ve only used eBay as a buyer up to now, but I’ve just ended up listing an item for sale. Not even a minute after posting the listing, I see a notification that the item has sold, and the purchase was made by a new account created on the same day as the listing and with no information at all (on the profile I only see a generic United Kingdom as the location).
I was wondering how to proceed in this case. After waiting a few days to see whether any payment comes through (and to understand whether the payment has been made, do I need to receive a notification from eBay?), can I safely relist the item?
I’m asking because I want to understand whether this has already happened to anyone, since searching the forum I couldn’t find anything about it.

·3 years agoHello, the same thing happened to me, I put an item up for sale and after not even 7 minutes it was sold to a user with no feedback, with a new account from the United Kingdom, and this person sent me a message asking if I could ship the item to another address in Berlin. I canceled the sale because of insufficient shipping costs and asked them to enter the correct address on Ebay so we could complete the transaction properly, and they disappeared... even better!
Today again another person who offers me a very good sum for the purchase of an item for sale but would like me to send them another one too, for which I sent him (I wouldn't know) the offer; it would be almost normal if it were a user who had been registered for a long time and had at least some feedback, but this one has none and would like the goods to be shipped to Malta while on the profile it says Belgium. When I refused because of the shipping costs being too high, he suggested that I could send everything to Italy to a relative whom he will have to visit soon. I am more than sure these are attempts at fraud.

·3 years agoThey're all obvious scams, classic triangulation scams, you can't ship to addresses other than those entered on eBay.
