Item not delivered by Poste Italiane and returned to sender
An item I sold was not delivered to the buyer and the envelope was returned to the sender (me), with the reason "Unable to locate".
When I received the envelope, I informed the buyer, who for safety gave me a different address from the first one, and the envelope was delivered there.
Question: are the reshipping costs solely my responsibility?

·2 years agoI saw that you ship with posta1
You should have checked the delivery outcome first; if the delivery outcome showed the wording "IRREPERIBILE" then the responsibility fell on the buyer.
You should have agreed with the buyer on a new shipment, which he should have paid you in advance.
Now the only thing you can do is ask the buyer to pay the shipping costs.
But to have the money sent to you, you should use PayPal in friends and family mode or a bank transfer, since on eBay the buyer cannot send money unless he buys another item.
If the buyer does not reply to you, basically you’re the one who lost money.
Kind regards.

·2 years agoIn theory, you should have charged for the second shipment, since it was the buyer's responsibility to be home when it arrived.
But by now, if you've already paid for it yourself, you'll hardly be able to recover the costs.
Kind regards.
