To proceed with shipping, you need to select a pickup point
Why am I getting this message? The listing had been up for a while already and it didn’t include any pickup point, so does this message mean I’m the one who should indicate a pickup point to the buyer? otherwise it won’t let me ship with standard Poste. I shipped with delivery so as not to waste time, but what’s going on? It’s the first time
Thanks to anyone who wants to reply and best regards

·3 years agoit is a new option, I saw it today for the first time. It is cheaper, has insurance coverage up to 35 euros instead of 75, you have to indicate which post office you will take the package to. so, for example, I select Ivrea and it gives me a map with possible alternatives, even in nearby towns, I choose and proceed as usual

·3 years agoIn light of this NEW DEVELOPMENT I would update the answer I previously gave to the user pasquini_it
Variant A answer) That is, it’s not as if you have to choose the cheapest option and then complain that the courier doesn’t do home delivery; it’s enough to choose the service that matches your needs, which clearly turns out to be more expensive.
Variant B answer) This is a new shipping method, as highlighted by the user It2015-inno, which предусматриes exclusively pickup at a post office location. If you don’t want to put the buyer at a disadvantage and/or inconvenience them, it’s enough to choose another service that does home delivery.
Best regards.

·3 years agoWhat’s happening is that on eBay there are two ways to ship a package:
The button
Pickup point (meaning the seller has to deliver the package themselves)
Home pickup (meaning the courier comes to pick up the package)
Best regards.

·3 years agoit's a new variant, less expensive, insurance coverage 35 euros, you have to choose which post office to deliver the package to. put, for example, Ivrea, and it gives you a map with the possible choices, click on the one that's most convenient for you and proceed normally.
best regards

·3 years agoHonestly, I wouldn't know how to use this option.
Taking the package to the pickup point is fine, but the buyer usually expects the package to be delivered to their home by the courier.
base price 4.35 euros for this service compared to brt 5.22 euros which delivers to home.
Even the standard postedelivery doesn't thrill me because delivery times are longer than those of a traditional courier and sometimes the delays are significant.
Then, in practice, I couldn't use it unless I specifically asked the buyer whether they want to go and collect it directly from the pickup point, something I don't think they would do for 87 cents of savings, but I wouldn't even propose it as an option / variant.

·3 years agoI haven't used it, but I thought delivery was to home

·3 years agoProbably in many cases there will be problems.
Something like:
The seller sees the lowest price and wants to save money at all costs and use this service; in good faith, maybe they won’t realize that the package is not delivered to your home, and in bad faith, to save a few cents, they’ll still send it this way while pretending nothing’s wrong.
The buyer won’t receive the item at home but will have to go and pick it up, for practical purposes, at the xyz post office point.
The buyer will get angry and react in various ways, which in any case won’t bring the seller anything good.

As Sika wrote, when you use a service (... in general, not just a shipping provider....) you at least need to read and understand what you're doing.....
that said, if you want home pickup of the parcel and home delivery to the recipient, just choose the desired option among those offered by the shipping provider;
NOTE we add a couple of things:
1) it is not necessarily necessary to use eBay's shipping provider (which is not mandatory)
2) taking a screenshot while leaving personal data visible in a public forum is potentially not a good idea ......

·3 years agoReading carefully how a certain service works, before using it, would definitely have solved your dilemma...
There are two types of shipping:
It has nothing to do with delivery... but with shipping"
