Free Christmas sale promotion
I created some listings trying to use that promotion, but I can't figure out if I actually did everything correctly. How can I tell if I've correctly joined the promo and if I won't have to pay commissions on the sales of these listings?

·1 year agoI'm answering my own question. I just sold one of the 2 items and the fees were NOT charged. So they are free as per the promo. And only now the promo counter "SELL FREE!" has changed to Used/Remaining 1/149.

·1 year agoGood to know… it’s not clear at all, the promo counter should have been incremented otherwise it doesn’t make sense

According to eBay, though, I owe about 30 euros in fees!
I don't understand why.

·1 year agoGo to the help page to contact customer support, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click on "ask us to call you" an operator will get in touch with you.

·1 year agoI've been contacting Ebay for days.
They call me on the phone and 3 times they tell me that I'll be called back by other departments.
Each time they tell me I'll be contacted within 24 hours and I never get contacted.
In the last phone call they tell me that I HAD NOT activated their offer.
OF COURSE, I must have imagined the screens where it said YOU HAVE ACTIVATED THE OFFER with the little square turning GREEN.
Disgusting, total disgrace.

·1 year agoI also joined this promotion (the green confirmation box appeared) and then I posted 2 listings while meeting the promotion conditions (private seller, new listings, categories, etc.). But I have a doubt.
When I go to Overview - Seller Hub and scroll all the way down, I find the Promotional Offers box I joined and I see this screen:
The first offer (free listing fees, which is renewed every month) shows Used/Remaining 7/143, of which 2 are the new listings I posted in the last few hours. OK!
The second offer (Sell for free, meaning no selling fees) shows Used/Remaining 0/150. Why? And yet the last 2 listings (which are also counted in the previous offer) should be part of it! Did I do something wrong when I posted the last 2 listings?

Did you do what the promotion says?
Go here: https://pages.ebay.it/promo/2024/regifting-1016110/
then click on: accept the promotion
You’ll see a green box at the top that will let you know you’ve opted into the promotion.
From that moment and until January 8, YOU WILL NOT PAY SELLING FEES on up to 150 listings.
But you need to manage to sell something by January 8, otherwise the listings you posted will go back to NORMAL.
You won’t have to do anything special other than post new listings after opting into the promotion.
