Suspicious purchase proposal
I’m selling a valuable watch for 2600 euros.
I received a purchase offer for an amount higher than the one I had listed: 2650 euros.
The buyer has 4 purchases made from the same seller more than a year ago and zero feedback.
He had asked to ship to an address not entered on eBay, and I canceled the auction.
As soon as I relisted it, he made a new offer and the system accepted it automatically as set up.
Would you ship the item?
To me, this seems a bit too fishy.
I’m waiting for your opinion.

·2 years agoIf you had put in €2600 for the purchase, I don't think the buyer wanted to give you €50 as a gift
Anyway, for items of high value it’s always a gamble.
If the buyer isn’t someone you know and trust, forget it.
there's the risk that they’ll open a dispute for item not as described and then send you back a piece of junk.

·2 years agoYou should have blocked him after the first proposal and the related award.
If this time too he proposes sending to a different address, cancel with this reason.
And of course block him this time...

·2 years agoI’d cancel without thinking twice. But I’d add that I would never put an item worth 2600 Euro up for sale on eBay. As Pafispi already commented "there’s the risk that they’ll open a dispute for item not as described and then send you back a piece of junk."
