Proposal and counterproposal
Hello. I don't quite understand "offer and counteroffer". I receive an offer for an item for sale and I get notified. I make a counteroffer and, without being notified, I see the item as sold at my counteroffer price and am prompted to prepare the shipping label. Nowhere do you see it written that the buyer has accepted my new price and the item appears as sold and paid. Why don't I see confirmation that the buyer has accepted the counteroffer? I wouldn't want to ship it and then have it returned.... Why don't I receive an eBay message saying the counteroffer has been accepted (note: the buyer still has time to decide at the moment....). Thank you

·2 years agoIf the buyer has paid and eBay confirms it by email by providing you with their address, it means that your counteroffer has been accepted and all you have to do is ship

Ebay doesn’t send an acceptance email for the offer, it sends a sold item email straight away: so maybe the sold item email just didn’t arrive for some reason, in any case the sellers console is what counts;
also, which isn’t a given, is the person who bought it the same account the offer was made to?

·2 years agoThe confirmation email from ebay arrives; if you don’t get it, check your junk mail or check in your account details whether the email address is correct.
Sometimes it can happen that the emails don’t arrive because upstream there are spam filters that block the mail from even reaching the junk folder.
If that should happen, consider opening another email account with another service provider, like gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc
Kind regards.
