Regarding a shipment
I made a listing mistake, the product is olive oil and the quantity they’re asking me for is 1 lt (as per the incorrect listing I made) now the shipping costs me more than the sale, the buyer has already paid, but I would like to cancel and refund the buyer. How can I do it? Considering that I’m not very tech-savvy, thanks

·3 years agoAnyway, I recommend fixing the part about shipping costs.
The women’s jacket with fur, with shipping at 5 euros via Poste 4.
As a private seller without shipping discounts, for 5 euros it’s hard to ship that coat safely and with tracking.

·3 years agoCancel the sale and apologize to the buyer and confirm to them that you are proceeding with a full refund; maybe as the reason indicate that you couldn’t guarantee the bottle as described in the listing.
In any case, you will still pay eBay the fixed fee of 0,35 cebt. Next time be more careful when creating listings.

·3 years agoI don’t understand where the mistake is.
1 liter of oil 7 euros + shipping 7 euros.
With the shipping cost you’ll come out even, then I don’t know if with the cost of the oil you’ll end up losing money because maybe you wanted to sell half a liter for 7 euros rather than 1 liter.
Shipping by courier up to 1, 2 or 3 kg of weight (depending on the service chosen) always costs the same (even if you ship an item weighing 50 grams), so if you ship 500 ml of oil you still pay the same price up to 1, 2 or 3 kg of weight.
If you don’t lose too much money, in my opinion for a few euros it’s better to ship than to get a possible negative feedback.

If you made a mistake and you're aware of it, it would be right that the buyer didn't have to pay for it... they say you learn from your mistakes!
In any case, you can cancel the sale, with the related risks: performance and a likely negative feedback.
