EPR responsibilities France
Good evening, how are you handling extended producer responsibility (EPR) in France?
Compared to what is mandatory (for now) in Germany, where the registration process with LUCID and the collection system (in our case Lizenzero) was simpler, for France we don't even know where to start. Is there anyone who has suggestions and/or practical advice on how to handle this? We can't even figure it out from eBay's guide:

It says what to do for the big picture and what the obligations are... but what do you actually have to do operationally?
How do you get the UPIN code? How is the collection of used goods handled and through which companies?
We're a small ecommerce business and from what we understand we fully fall under the definition of producers, and therefore are required to comply with the regulation. Is it possible that no one talks about this and doesn't have this problem?

·1 year agoI'm also going crazy trying to figure out how to sign up, with the German Lucid it was super easy but the French one is incredibly complicated and honestly I don't sell electronics or new items, I sell used stuff or collectibles and the packaging is homemade and pretty eco-friendly....basically I recycle everything possible, meh.....

·3 years agoIf the seller does not exceed €10,000 in international sales per year in France, they are not required to enter the UPIN code.

·3 years agoGood morning, the hardest part is not signing up, getting the code and paying the fee, but having to enter this code for every item on eBay.fr. If you only have a hundred items, with enough patience you can get it done, but for those who have thousands there are, for the moment, no other options. Hang in there, I think I’m going to stop using eBay.fr and all shipments going there until eBay finds a solution. Yes, on Amazon the problem doesn’t exist....

But then where should the code be entered? I also completed the payment and received the unique code, but I can't figure out where to enter it....Anyone have any suggestions? It goes without saying that it's impossible to do it in a NON-bulk way.

·3 years agoWe also registered with Adelphe for the Packaging category, and we obtained the UPIN code. But we also don’t know how to proceed with this; we asked both WebInterpret and Adelphe, but they don’t know the codes that need to be entered in the .CSV to be sent to WebInterpret. eBay on the phone, a few weeks ago, told us that for the moment only the UPIN code was needed; Adelphe however issued an invoice to us for € 80.00 to be paid by the end of March 2023. So we tried to register on ADEME but we can’t find the registration link. I don’t understand how Webinterpret wants codes from us when neither they nor Adelphe nor even eBay would be able to tell us, honestly. For Germany they didn’t make us pay anything, the registration with LUCID was enough. For France it seems not. But I’ll reserve judgment on that, I could definitely be wrong. I’m asking for clarification. Thanks

I have the same problem as you, but I got the UPIN code through registration with ADELPHE.
It’s just that now I don’t know how to go any further.
