Buyer request for Klarna payment method?

A buyer, after making a purchase offer that I accepted, wrote to me asking if he could pay with Klarna? I replied that he had to contact Klarna directly and gave him instructions on how to do it. Strangely, he hasn’t replied to me since. Are there really people so clueless that they ask afterward how to pay the amount they proposed? Or is this just a joke at my expense? I should say that this has already happened to me in the past, where there was no payment following an accepted offer. The most eBay can do is issue a warning, while the seller has wasted time and trust on this sales system.

·1 year agoIn addition to what the other users who replied said, I’d like to remind you that the seller does NOT see the payment method used by the buyer, and a buyer who asks this kind of question, especially AFTER buying, is better off lost than found .....
anyway, the rules are the rules ..... I’d like to remind you that the problem can be avoided by using the "buy it now" option with immediate payment (which in practice prevents the buyer from making offers, unless this option is enabled in the listing or an offer is submitted.... )
I’d also like to remind you that, in addition to the warning, you can report the buyer through the appropriate function (please refer to the rules for the relative procedure....) : maybe it doesn’t help much, but since it’s there.......

On your expired listing, Klarna does not appear as a payment option.
So the buyer evidently, not being able to use installment payments, gave up on the purchase.
Next time check directly in your listings, .
See example:
On eBay, the option to pay in installments (via Klarna or PayPal BNPL) is not guaranteed on all listings.
Only some sellers, typically professional ones or those with certain requirements enabled, have the feature activated, because eBay or Klarna/PayPal grant the option for specific eligible listings

·1 year agoYou have to see the thing from this perspective to get a broader view. Today, behind the insistent calls to do things simply and immediately, there is an unheard-of complication to swallow everywhere. The trap springs the moment you think there is something practical. While the general public has become less cumbersome, the consumer technology that goes with you has become more and more complex. It is designed specifically to make interests proliferate in a chain reaction, mechanisms that are hard to get rid of. If I want to pay for an item I like with Klarna, I have to choose this option online or in store, choose payment in 3 interest-free installments or after a month, or pay right away. I have to give all my banking details or use a disposable virtual card, then I have to..... in the end you're exhausted. You weren't thinking of a process like that. As a seller I can understand it. Because I think of that distant world my parents used to tell me about, when the abacus was the only invitation to do calculations and there was nothing. But they were happy anyway. Even more.
