Pickup in the area and cash payment
Good morning,
I sold an item that did not include local pickup. The customer is asking me if they can pick it up in person and pay in cash. Obviously that’s not a problem for me, but I have a doubt: couldn’t they later say they never received the item and request a refund when they have the item in their hands?

·1 year agoif they pay you in cash, the problem is mostly theirs (obviously you shouldn’t confirm the pickup code....) ....... but then they know where you live if you arrange to meet them at your place......

·1 year agoYes, you would have no proof that you delivered the item. Even with cash payment, the buyer would then have no proof that they paid you either.
You decide whether to trust them or not.

If he paid you in cash, on eBay it will still show that he hasn't paid yet... at most you can report him as a non-payer...
But it's always better to follow the rules!
You could cancel the order and create a new listing with local pickup.
