Permanent suspension
Good morning.
Mine was also blocked without explanation, permanently. I then tried to contact an operator by phone, but he told me he has no way to reactivate it or, as I hoped, have my account reviewed again.
I don't think selling photography books goes against eBay's rules. The only thing I was able to find out from the operator is that the account is considered dangerous for the platform's policies, but without any further explanation.
Do you know if there's a way to “reopen a review”?

·2 years agoFrom your account I see:
Information
Shelfie Caf is a bookstore dedicated to the world of photography that operates within the main Italian festivals
By searching on Google, I see that you have an ecommerce site called shelfie-cafe where you carry out distance sales.

If you received a permanent block, it means that under that name you will no longer be able to sell on ebay.
If you want, you can give us more detailed information about how this blocked account was used so that we can venture some hypotheses, such as:
- was it your first seller account?
- have you had another account that was closed for problems of some kind?
- was it a private or business account?
- had you already had experience on ebay with an account registered under another name? (I’m asking because if a new user starts straight away at full speed as if it were an experienced, seasoned account, the algorithm could interpret this behavior as "anomalous".
- had you listed a large number of items?
- had you listed many new items with stock photos using a private account?
- were the items you were selling sellable, or did you have to be an official distributor?
- did you receive any complaints of some kind?
- did you ship late?
- did you receive any negative or neutral feedback?
- did they take down any of your listings?
Kind regards.

·2 years agoMany requests for clarification have been read here on the forum regarding these unexpected measures, and the answers always go in two directions. The first concerns the use of one's own account, often registered as a private seller, while the sales on it are those of a professional seller with VAT number.
That is, the sale of new products packaged by the manufacturer, which a private seller has no reason to offer systematically. The second reason is associated with the item itself. There are restrictions on several items, but photography books (unless they contain photos that stray into overt sexual 'strangeness' or pornography) have no reason to be blacklisted. In general, though. Let me explain. Once I asked whether it was possible to put up for sale a book that was very famous at the time of the IRA. This ready-to-use volume written in English explained how to make all kinds of explosives at home using components that are easy to obtain. The title of the manual referred precisely to the ease with which one can blow everything up in a few minutes. Naturally, putting it up for auction was like closing off every future avenue of sale on the platform. It seems to me that the chances of getting a second chance back are rather unlikely. But it’s not certain. At least though you can understand what triggered this restriction. Best regards.
