SHIPPING TO SWITZERLAND
Hello everyone, I need to make a shipment to Switzerland, but I can’t seem to find any cheap online service.
Do you happen to have any affordable service to suggest without Packlink?
Thanks, have a good day.

·3 years agoThis is the best rate, even from packlink, I don't think you can find anything better for Switzerland as a private individual.

OP3 years agoThanks a lot for the tip, unfortunately I saw the message too late and I’ve already canceled the order 😂

At this address you can see what the cancellation of an order by the seller entails
https://www.ebay.it/help/selling/getting-paid/che-modo-i-venditori-possono-annullare-un-ordine?id=4136
For future times I recommend looking for a more professional selling strategy.
You could, for example, write in the auction that extra-European sales involve shipping costs that you need to calculate, so the buyer should ask before purchasing.
I usually, for extra-European shipments, to be safe, set prices higher than what they actually cost me, so as to encourage the potential buyer to write me an email.
Because usually if you put the notice and set a low shipping price, they act like they haven’t noticed and order at that shipping price.
Then every now and then it happens that someone buys at the shipping rate (which is generally higher than what it actually costs me) but in that case, if it works for the buyer, it works for me too.
Kind regards.

OP3 years agoThanks again for the information! 🙂
The strange thing about the order I received is that I never enabled shipping to Switzerland, yet the buyer was still able to pay the fee as if it were in Europe. How is that possible?
As for the cancellation, I said that the buyer asked to cancel the order (even though that's not true...) is that still considered a defect by Ebay?

·3 years agoWhen you create / edit the listing you have to choose between
All countries in Europe
or
European Union
Or you can tick the individual countries you see in the list, such as Spain, France, Germany
Regarding the reason for the cancellation, the buyer receives a notification; if the reason you gave when cancelling is fine with the buyer, it's fine with eBay too, so no defect for you.
Kind regards.

OP3 years agoThanks everyone for the information, I think I'll cancel the order, this shipping isn't really feasible for me, unfortunately I can't even get to the nearest post office.
Have a nice day 🙂

·3 years agoIf it’s a package, there are no cheap shipping options for Switzerland.
The only way to spend less is Poste Italiane’s International Registered Mail https://www.poste.it/prodotti/raccomandata-internazionale.html which still requires customs declarations for the contents.
