Shipping to Germany
Hello everyone, I need to ship a small package to Germany.
Since I’ve read so many negative reviews about Packlink, I’d like to ask you which alternatives you recommend.
Thanks and have a good evening.

·1 year agoPacklink doesn't ship anything: it's a broker that in turn relies on various carriers.
The advantage is that, by buying large quantities of monthly shipments, it gets competitive prices compared to the individual private customer who goes directly to the carriers mentioned above.
For Germany I recommend UPS or DHL, a bit less so DPD.
Besides PackLink there are many other online brokers you can rely on: the prices are generally similar (a few euros more or less).
Keep in mind, though, that almost all brokers skimp a lot on coverage in case of problems: it's the price you pay to get lower prices...

What's an alternative broker to Packlink?

·1 year agoIf you go on trustpilot you'll find low ratings and negative reviews on ALL shipping brokers, without exception.
Just use the shipping service integrated into eBay and choose ups or dhl for Germany.

OP1 year agoI'm avoiding Packlink because in the past I received charges for non-compliant weight when I shipped Pokemon cards (they detected a weight of 6.1 kg on many of my shipments with both BRT and SDA).
I've looked but I can't find anything cheap... 😞

·1 year agoPacklink is the cheapest for abroad.
With other brokers you’d spend almost double.....
in an old discussion a user wrote that to dispute incorrect weights / measurements you need to have photos of the package where the shipping label is visible and photos with the measurements and the weight.
If you have these "proofs" you can start a Packlink dispute when you receive a request to top up for mismatched weights / measurements.
