Customs duties + VAT expenses for purchase from Japan
Hi everyone, I’d like some info about a purchase I want to make from Japan. The price for “Buy It Now” is $206, I’m attaching a photo of the cart, anyway shipping is free. No VAT or customs duties are shown in the cart, but I know they’re there!!
Now the seller would also accept an offer at $190 (the cart is $206), I’d like to know what the additional costs will be because I can’t figure it out 😞

·3 years agoin addition to what Heavenwelkin said (and so read the various posts on the subject....), nowadays buying outside the EU often amounts to a Christmas egg..... in the end you get the surprise......

OP3 years agoExactly, I asked the question because after taking a look (maybe too quickly 😅) at the previous messages, I was a bit confused.. anyway, I understand that between duties/VAT/customs clearance fees an extra 30/35% always ends up coming out!!

OP3 years agoOkay, thanks, then I’ll see if I can find a calculation on an item with a similar amount, I had also tried to calculate it through Taric (I had taken a look at the community messages) but I found it difficult to select the type of goods (which is a bag)
Now, with a bit more calm and time, I’ll take a look to get my bearings a bit better 🙂
