Alien things are happening with the Dac07.
Did you know that Italy has transposed the European DAC07 directive with retroactive effect starting from 1 January 2023?
Limit imposed for non-professional sales: 2000 euros or no more than 30 annual transactions.
What will happen to those who have meanwhile gone over the limit.
Thousands of accounts will be closed.
So far, eBay had been talking about a sales limit for private individuals of 10,000 euros with no limit on the number of transactions.
Anyone who knows more should chime in, including eBay.

·3 years agoon how Ebay sees it...... just ask them ( there are ways to contact them )
as for the directive..... the various marketplaces each interpret it their own way, Italy was supposed to approve it by December 31, 2022, but in fact it does so almost three months late ( at risk of an EU penalty ) saying that it starts from January 1, 2023...... what can you say, it speaks for itself ......

·3 years agoThe DAC has already been active since 2021 (in fact the comment link dates back to 2021); it has only been expanded. The limits for private sellers for whom there is no obligation to transmit data are precisely 29 transactions (that is, fewer than 30) and for which the amounts paid do not exceed 2,000 euros. So if, with a lower number of transactions, 2,000 euros is exceeded, there is an obligation to transmit the data.
More details can be read here https://www.ilcommercialistaonline.it/dac7-vendite-online/
I don't know any more than that, but it goes without saying that private individuals prefer those platforms that do not handle payments; preferably, you sell with hand delivery and cash payment! This is the result....
Kind regards

·3 years ago🤔....yeah, I guess for private sellers there are only the platforms that don’t handle payments; they’ll sell with in-person pickup and cash payment, and maybe local classifieds newspapers, which have now disappeared, will come back into fashion 😂......🤔🤔🤔

·3 years agoI wouldn't mind going back to leafing through the local classifieds newspapers that still exist but have had to adapt to the digital world. It must be said that times are changing again, more or less slowly, and sooner or later we'll find ourselves having to take a few steps back. For now I would advise private individuals (who sell their own second-hand personal items) to diversify across the existing platforms and favor the less demanding ones, with a few clear and transparent clauses (since as of today if you sell just one valuable item you're covered for the whole year)!

·3 years agoActually....I think diversifying is the best thing at the moment.

·3 years agoSorry, but where did you find that written?
But in your opinion, why is ebay imposing the use of the iban code for payments?
And why does ebay block accounts that don't want to update?
The following link explains it very well:

OP3 years agoUntil December 2022, eBay was sending notices to sellers warning them that their activity could be considered Professional sales, but at the same time it set, with a self-declaration, a sales cap of 10,000 euros for staying in private status. Is it written anywhere in the directive from 7 that the limits are 2,000 euros and 30 transactions?
In theory, eBay should now require everyone who has exceeded those limits to regularize their position in accordance with the rules. Will they do it or not? And if they do, when will they do it, given that it’s May.
What do those who have exceeded the limit risk, and maybe in the meantime have closed the account or won’t sell anything else until the end of the year?

·3 years agoHello,
I’m only answering the first question since I had already looked into it as per my previous message 6 , for the rest we can only guess, I suppose...
It is necessary to refer to Legislative Decree 1 March 2023, n. 32 which regulates DAC7, which entered into force on 26 March this year.
The limit of €2,000 in credits from the selling platforms, as well as the number of transactions, are reported in art. 2) letter 4) of the aforementioned Legislative Decree (https://www.fiscoetasse.com/files/15986/dlgs-del-01032023-32.pdf)
Of course, IF shipping costs are included in the credits, these swell, resulting in non-real income since shipping represents an expense.
For the rest of the questions, it is best to wait for other replies.
Best regards
