United States
Hi everyone!!
Does anyone know if Poste Italiane has resumed accepting shipments to the United States?
On their website I can no longer find the notice about the suspension of shipments to that country.
Or am I the one who can't see it?
Thanks!!

·10 months agoThere have been no official statements from Italian Post regarding a resumption of merchandise shipments to the US.
I had sold an item weighing less than 100 grams that I would have shipped with international priority mail (without tracking, since proof of delivery doesn't work outside Italy), and the only alternatives were international couriers such as FeDex, ups, dhl, with prices starting at 40 euros..
I pointed this out to the buyer, saying that if they wanted the item we would have to cancel the sale and redo the purchase with courier shipping.
In the end, the sale did not go through.

OP10 months agoBut is your sale recent? I mean 2/3 days at most.
In fact I think that when shipping is restored they will/should report it.
You're right: I can no longer find the "block" on shipments, but there's not even a news item about shipping being restored.
Maybe the best thing is to be a little patient.

·10 months agoMy sale (failed sale) in the US dates back to September 20, 2025
That day eBay’s shipping manager didn’t give me the international Crono service as usual, only UPS, which cost about 40 euros.
If they have restored international Crono, it’s worth checking with Poste Italiane because otherwise you risk the shipment being sent back and then packlink-ebay won’t take responsibility and won’t refund you.
With international Crono I often had problems with goods that customs officers couldn’t easily recognize as exportable or not, and they labeled them without bothering too much to check as probable dangerous goods.
In fact I think that by default the international Crono in the shipping manager still has the label declaring that the goods being exported are "clothing".
This is not a bug but it’s done for those who at customs block parcels far too easily and casually.
I have had 3 or 4 rejections of electronic items that were perfectly exportable with no restrictions at all.

OP10 months agoBy the way, I’ve just booked a shipment to Italy via eBay/Packlink and on the form there’s still the wording that was there at the end of September about the shipping block to the USA.
I only had the doubt because today, when visiting the Poste website, I could no longer find the shipping block banner for the United States, which had been very noticeable before.
I’ll wait... I’m in no hurry at all!!
Thanks. Best regards!!

·10 months agoOn eBay, Packlink only offers international express for the States.
So it seems they’re accepting packages again.

I'm not sure. I think crono kept being accepted even during that "quarantine" period, or maybe I'm mistaken.
As for me, because shipping costs are too high, I only ship as international postamail with Poste Italiane, and on their site I can no longer find the banner that said shipments to the USA were suspended...!
Before putting them back among my destinations, I'd like to be sure I can ship there again.
Let's see if anyone else has started shipping to us again.
Best regards!!
