Buyer scam
Summary: The discussion titled "Truffa acquirente" does not contain any content.
A buyer is definitely trying to pull a fast one. I sent the item he bought (in a super sealed package and everything) and now he claims that the package arrived sealed and empty. It should be noted that I was even worried about whether it was arriving, and I wrote to him today to be careful because the package was on its way. Obviously, he opened a return and refund request claiming that the package is not as described, and he also told me that he will file a complaint (which made me laugh quite a bit). Anyway, of course, this was something that had never happened because I don’t scam people. How should I handle this? Thanks in advance for the help!

·1 year agoThe options are:
- you intentionally sent an empty package or one with a different contents
- you handed the package to the courier and during the journey someone tampered with it
- you handed the package in at a pickup point and someone tampered with it
- the buyer is making a false statement because they want to get the item for free.
When selling something remotely, you need to carefully weigh the risk / reward factor.
Unfortunately these situations can happen, so it’s up to you to make the right judgments.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Best regards.

·1 year agoas indicated by Mario (and as reported in numerous posts on the topic.....) there is not much to do ..... Ebay will evaluate the case and, very likely, side with the buyer.... (I’m using the conditional because Ebay, sometimes, manages to surprise...... )
anyway I recommend contacting support if you have any doubts..... moreover you can still report the buyer for his behavior (there is also a specific procedure....) ..... it will maybe help little, but if there are any previous reports.......

·1 year agoThis is a case in which buyer and seller accuse each other of fraud.
Since you have no proof that you sent a package with something inside (photos or videos have no value), any third party called in to judge will side with the buyer. This is a typical issue linked to all distance sales with payment mediated by a platform or by companies like paypal, klarna, ....
You’d be better off trying to limit the damage and refund voluntarily within the ebay procedure.
