Variants and 5 euro discount...
if you load an item with a certain number of variants, for example:
7 of them euro 15
10 of these euro 15
20 of those euro 15
40 of those euro 30
40 of the others euro 15
the program returns for all of them euro 10 with a discount of 5 .. even for those that cost 30.

OP2 years agoyou're mistaken, I don't buy anything. I sell things I have or things I grow; of course if I sell an onion or some seeds from a plant, they're not second-hand because no one has nibbled on them yet, so I write new.

Don't take it personally, you're on a public forum and in an open board for all comments, so anyone can comment and express their opinion.
From the meager sales you make and the feedback I read, it seems to me that you do it with passion and pleasure too.
With these sales volumes, in my opinion, you can be more than calm with eBay; anyway, for your information, keep an eye on the DAC7 directive (it's been discussed in several threads here on the forum, you can search for the discussions by typing DAC7 in the box on the red background you see here on the forum) because it concerns those who sell online for amounts over 2000 euros or 30 annual sales; as for the consequences for those who exceed the limits, we're still waiting, there could be fines or something else.......
Kind regards.

OP2 years agoheavenwlkin, we all know DAC 7, including its limits and flaws (for example, the data to be reported: number of sales and the amount of money paid to the seller... so if I pay the postage myself at the post office, either I document it or, during an audit, it counts as income; if I pay it through a label, it’s already split out and therefore already considered a cost, or... the report doesn’t say what was sold, so if someone goes over 30 sales or €2,000, they have to take care of keeping all the documentation, otherwise it counts as income, etc. etc.) but here it seems that since DAC came out... if someone makes a point, (in my case, aimed more at the staff, so maybe someone checks the issue with the program and which record the discount points to, the first one at the top in case of variables and not the record of the variable itself) or raises a problem, instead of answering on the merits, everyone suddenly becomes tax consultants -.-" as if before, if someone sold, I don’t know, a painting, they wouldn’t have to declare anything in box L of the return and now they would have to; DAC changes nothing, but if someone now says I put the painting up for sale and I can’t see it when I search... then it must be because they’re a tax dodger :))

·2 years agoHave you tried contacting eBay's official support to solve your problem with the price variations?
If you came to the forum, I imagine support didn't solve the problem for you....
You need to understand that this is a DISCUSSION forum / community
If you're making all this fuss over simple opinions written by other users, it means you haven't really understood where you are and how this virtual place works.
You asked the question, fine, now wait and then take whatever useful comes out of it without expecting anything from us users just like you.
Kind regards.

OP2 years agoHeavenwelkin, the problem with discounts paired with variants is not mine, if something I sell for 30 euros with a 5-euro discount is said to be paid at 10, it is a problem for the buyers and for eBay, since the issue persists I reported it here, with a statement and no question, because I think someone at eBay will read it. Then if I get into a back-and-forth with other users it may be because they take the liberty of judging me, even giving me labels instead of staying on topic. That's all.

·2 years agoThat some ebay staff member reads the forum is for sure, but solving any issues may not be something immediate.
As for the back-and-forth, if some user, rightly or wrongly, says that in their opinion you need to open a VAT number, you can спокойно move on because it's just the opinion of a user and not an official communication / notice from ebay warning you that you need to open a VAT number.
Best regards.

·2 years agoWow... I didn’t know plastic test tubes and minnows were grown...
I learned another one today too!
ortofantastico
OP2 years agolook at the quantities and how long the ad has been posted.. the minnows are 8 and have been there for years .. I have more than that of the test tubes that I had bought to put the chili pepper in, but to sell it I had to send it by ordinary mail (otherwise it cost too much) and then out of 10 you sell, 6 tell you not received.. so I don't sell it anymore and I'm getting rid of the test tubes too, they've been there for a couple of years as well... aside from that, where do you put the gasoline for the little motorbikes? .. wouldn't you need some test tubes?

OP2 years agoobviously if it costs 30 and with the discount it goes to 10, I'm not the one who enters it via VAT number 🙂

·2 years agoDon’t play dumb... the VAT number is a legal requirement for someone like you who sells new items in quantity, specifically purchased for resale! 😉

OP2 years agoI almost forgot, don’t try to be clever with your little bikes that everyone knows aren’t registered :))

·2 years agoObviously you're doing something wrong... like not putting your VAT number in every listing...
