Sale at a very high price on eBay
Good evening everyone, what could happen to me if I were to sell something for €20,000 on eBay? Thanks

·2 years agoIf you need to sell an item worth 20,000 euros, I don't think I'd do it on eBay or on another marketplace with electronic payment and maybe distance selling with the related shipping.
I think payment systems like credit card or PayPal could have some problems with payments of this amount and I don't think they would go through.
In any case, in the event of an online distance sale with electronic payment of 20 thousand euros, you should pay taxes on it once you go over a certain threshold (at least that's what they hope to get), even as a private individual selling your own personal item (maybe a motorcycle).
So I would advise you to use other channels and types of sale for similar amounts.
Best regards.

That is, the reporting of your activity to the AdE (which has already far exceeded the DAC7 threshold).
What changes is the amount of the transactions (increased by a full 20K Euro...): I recommend contacting an accountant now for the exact inclusion in the 730 of the extra income earned in 2024.
