Nightmare sale, how do we move forward?
Buonasera a tutti, qualche giorno fa (circa il 20) ho venduto il mio vecchio telefono
https://www.ebay.it/itm/266171335459

·3 years agoAs advice for next time, lengthen the shipping times because if you then can’t ship within the 2 days stated, if you run into a particular user you risk ending up in a situation like this. They’ve already replied to you about the possibilities and the procedures. I’d add to try contacting support by phone and point out the messages so that you may have a small chance of not having to accept the return, since the automatic procedures handled by algorithms don’t take many aspects into account, such as the messages exchanged.

OP3 years agoThanks everyone, though I repeat that I picked up the package on the 22nd (as shown on the waybill), so if they collected it two days later it's not my fault...

·3 years agoBut unfortunately for eBay, what counts is the actual date the package was sent, so the 24th... for eBay and for the buyer it shows as a 2-day delay...
Kind regards.

·3 years agoGood evening,
you're most likely dealing with a less-than-honest buyer... because of a change of heart, they want to pass the item off as not as described.
And this is where the problem arises... if they open a return request for an item not as described, you don't have many alternatives, other than arranging the return shipment at your own expense and refunding the user... in full... of course, dragging your feet or refusing doesn't help anyone, at the cost of losing money and the item... so it's always better to cooperate to minimize the damage.
It's annoying... but when selling online, these kinds of "episodes" can happen too...
Kind regards.

·3 years agoYou wrote in the listing: Shipping is usually carried out within 2 business days of receiving payment. So it’s understandable that someone gets annoyed if they pay on the 20th for a shipment that was sent on the 24th.
Aside from this premise, the issue changes depending on the reason why they will ask through eBay for a return and refund.
I know it may seem unfair, but the best thing to do is to arrange to cover the return shipping costs and have the phone sent back to you, so that you can refund after receiving it. If you refuse and eBay rules in the buyer’s favor, it will refund from your bank account without bothering to have your item sent back.
