Hello everyone, I need your help as I’m a newbie in the field of selling on eBay. I sold the graphics card to a user in Aosta, but after a few days he writes to me saying that the card doesn’t work on his PC, that it “freezes” the BIOS, and that he’s doing some “tests” to try to solve the problem. Now, I’m sure I sent a graphics card that works 100%, but if the buyer were to request a refund for a non-working item, how should I handle it? I don’t want to lose the money and end up with an unusable graphics card. What do you recommend I do?

·2 years agoThe buyer can open a claim for item not as described, but there are limits FOR HIM TOO.
If he writes that he is tampering with / modifying the BIOS and he writes it in the eBay messages, then when he opens a dispute for item not as described, you can contact eBay via chat or phone and point out that the item has been tampered with and is no longer in its original intact condition.
Have him explain clearly what he’s doing to this graphics card and get him to write everything in the messages.
Then if you receive a dispute for item not as described, before taking any action come back here on the forum and I or someone else will give you a hand in case of a dispute because maybe there are grounds to appeal to eBay.
Best regards.
