Sales in Buy It Now format with combined shipping
I have an eBay store as a private seller and I have set up combined shipping in advance on all items for sale, both auction and buy it now format. When the customer puts several buy it now items in the cart, why does the automatic system not send me the invoice draft like it does for auctions before the customer has made payment?? In this way it does not allow me to correct the invoice by removing excess charges in advance, forcing the customer to pay shipping costs that are not due, which I then have to refund. All this discourages many customers, who give up on the purchase. How can I solve this problem?

·2 years agoSince you sell coins, it should be easier for you to set up rules for combined shipping, as in the link that marioelegio posted.
If you were selling very different items, from washing machines to phone cards, it would still be problematic to create shipping rules.
Over the years, eBay has tried to promote and persuade sellers to offer free shipping, also to make managing multiple purchases simpler and smoother.
But even this last option isn’t the solution to all problems, because if I buy 10 coin lots from you with FREE shipping, I then end up paying the full cost of 10 separate shipments.
And it’s not like all buyers are gullible, especially if they’re coin collectors....
The post-purchase management system should be fixed and improved, and we’ve been waiting for years.
Another problem is that many private and “professional” sellers are unable to change amounts and/or send purchase invoices and/or manage multiple sales, and as you rightly said, this leads the buyer to give up on the purchase when they find themselves having to pay shipping costs for every lot bought.
Other sellers instead take advantage of it without then refunding the difference, and RIGHTLY so a buyer who gets “burned” once no longer trusts them ....

comportava per le vendite a prezzo fisso esattamente come per le vendite
all'asta è quindi ricevevo la bozza della fattura di quello che il cliente
aveva nel carrello, la correggevo e il cliente pagava il dovuto. Per un
lungo periodo non ho messo annunci e ho ricominciato da poco più di 2 anni
trovando questa stupida novità. Cercherò di seguire il suggerimenti
ricevuti e vediamo cosa viene fuori. Ho scritto anche a ebay almeno 3 volte
ma nessuno mi ha risposto né via mail e tanto meno telefonicamente. Grazie
ancora per la disponibilità e buona domenica.

·2 years agoYou can set up sales rules to do it automatically, but it should work this way too, if you have set combined shipping up correctly.
