Good morning everyone!
We have had an eBay store for a year and we have always issued invoices to our customers even though we did not have a tax code and/or VAT number.
But as informed by our accountant a couple of weeks ago, it will no longer be possible to issue invoices even to private users unless their respective tax code is provided.
We have requested the same from customers several times, but since they are not obliged to provide it, we receive no response.
At the moment we find ourselves with several transactions that we cannot invoice and we are losing an enormous amount of time following up with customers for the information and for the invoicing itself, which in this way can no longer be done automatically at the time of shipping as we did before.
We have written to eBay support but they just say that they cannot provide this kind of information and frankly we do not know how to proceed at this point.

if it may be useful to you, I worked with my brother-in-law, who is a seller on eBay, and I developed an app for Windows 10 that lets you check transactions, tax code included.
The app costs just a little more than a coffee, so I think it’s within everyone’s reach

·1 year agoThe link to the app you’re referring to was posted in 2020.
From 2020 to today, a lot has changed on the eBay platform.
Even if you had that app installed on your computer or smartphone, it wouldn’t work.
Programs and apps need to be kept constantly updated because eBay’s features and functionality keep changing all the time.

And for what reason ??? Never heard of this.... Ask her to tell you WHY, in her opinion, you can’t issue a fiscal receipt... Oh Jesus !!!

·2 years agoThat's right, some types of VAT number do not have the obligation to keep the register of receipts but only the obligation to issue an immediate invoice, they are in the exact same position. And changing the method would mean extra costs that are not sustainable with the type of activity
