I need advice
I’d like advice from other sellers like me,
I have a basic shop on eBay, and I sell via dropshipping from suppliers with a regular VAT number. This is because I don’t have the possibility of sourcing from suppliers in bulk and having my own warehouse. I thought about selling on eBay thinking: the buyer purchases on eBay, sends me the cash, I buy from the supplier and ship to the buyer. Okay, in December I had a high number of sales, over 200 orders, but something went wrong, eBay blocked my incoming funds twice in that same month of December, and I’m left with over 8,000 euro in deliveries, (of which eBay earns 2480 euro, I 656euro) that I cannot advance, with customers bombarding me with messages to answer, sending over 200 messages to customers to let them know their order is arriving late, from which I receive more messages to reply to, insults from customers, who quite rightly feel taken for a ride, negative feedback to spare, simply because the customer was dissatisfied, I spend entire days working on the eBay site to solve the problem and end up seeing my earnings from all that work. In the meantime I’m waiting for eBay to unblock my funds and I call support to explain the situation, I explain everything and they tell me they first need me to ship and prove that the orders have been delivered, and then they’ll unblock the money, but I don’t have 80000 ero to advance. In conclusion, I find myself having to refund over 200 customers, which is a lot of work, while at the same time being bombarded with messages from customers who want explanations, so since December 1st I’ve been working on the eBay site like crazy, and in the end I’m left with no profit at all. But I worked.... Is all this fair? Is it worth tearing yourself apart to create a shop on eBay, or do you end up putting in days of work and, in the end, seeing no profit. Has anyone had a similar case? How did you solve it?

But rightfully ebay holds the money until you have taken care of the shipment! The shipping and packaging times you chose in the listing must be respected. Anyway if you declare "shipped" the funds are unlocked. At a later time add the tracking code.

·2 years agoThat's not quite how it works... if you're a new seller, for the first 15 sales (so they say) the funds are blocked regardless... delivery and feedback are no longer needed to unlock them.
If there are particular difficulties or problems on your account, ebay is the one that at its discretion places additional blocks at the performance level; in the writer's case the problem was deliveries.
So be careful about providing incorrect information.

·2 years agoWith dropshipping, it’s almost impossible for the supplier to always ship by the day after the order.
Then there’s the stock problem. Without a contract with guaranteed allocations, you won’t have the certainty of finding the goods after making the sale. That’s why on eBay there’s a ban on short selling without a supply contract between the dropshipper and the supplier.

·2 years agoIt seems to me I read that it was דווקא in December that they started having problems with blocks at eBay's discretion... mine was a general point, in the sense that without further issues, the funds are no longer released after delivery or feedback.
As is obvious, if you’re late shipping even though you indicated a day as the timeframe, it’s suicide, especially if you sell via dropshipping and if just providing shipping to eBay isn’t enough, you also have to upload the correct tracking all the way to delivery... then eBay can release the funds for that transaction... not for all of them!
Or am I wrong??

You need to prove that it was shipped within the promised time and, obviously, that the package was delivered to the indicated place. That's all
