Hello,
As the title says, for a shipment sent with insurance, Poste Italiane / SDA, after opening tickets both by phone and by email, said that the goods had been correctly delivered.
Too bad that the same shipment was sent to a BRT Fermopoint and, to date, it still shows as waiting to be collected by the customer precisely because it never arrived there.
Looking online, in fact, that SDA location seems to have several logistical problems arising, at best, from the fact that postal workers are unable to handle the volume of shipments passing through that logistics center.
I still have some tickets open about the issue and, although it is not a huge loss, I’m annoyed by how Poste handled the matter.
On my side, I’ve put all possible solutions in place to make a complaint since I have a regular subscription with them, so I was asking you if you would have any suggestion for trying to recover the money.
Thanks for the help and have a good day.

·1 year agoI think you should take action against Fermopoint, asking them for a refund.
Then they will recover it from SDA, with the signature denial procedure.
If you open the ticket with Poste/SDA, they will reply that the package is marked as delivered and you cannot do anything against that statement.

·1 year agoHi Mario
In my opinion the seller shipped to the buyer's home address.
Then SDA thought it best to leave the package at a Fermopoint.
The Fermopoint sees a package arrive in so-and-so's name, without c/o Fermopoint and without an eCP code.
A Fermopoint that doesn't get a cent on that package.
In my opinion the problem is with Poste Italiane/SDA.

OP1 year agoHello,
Unfortunately, for certain shipments, I am almost forced to use the postal service and I am in fact limiting their use on certain shipments because I know how they operate. Beyond this at the moment, I can't do anything because the couriers in that range often behave in a way that, to be polite, is "strange".
For the shipment, delivery was clearly scheduled to Fermopoint with the ecp code, and I often handle these shipments with pickup points since this code simply needs to be written on the package or envelope, as appropriate, so it is unlikely that I made a mistake with the procedure given that I have had other similar shipments and did not have these problems. If I had therefore made a mistake, I would have realized it earlier.
Thanks anyway for the assistance.

·1 year agoI have used the Fermopoint service on a few occasions.
When I go to pick up the package, I’m made to fill out a piece of paper where I have to enter my Name, Surname and this eCP code.
eCP code that they also have / know because on one occasion I had forgotten to bring it and they told me what the eCP code to enter was.
The only piece of information they don’t know is the number of my ID card, which the Fermopoint doesn’t ask me for because it knows me.
This system is flawed because the Fermopoint could fill out this piece of paper itself with the eCP code it already has in its possession.
A simple piece of paper, then if there’s a dispute you can simply file a complaint that will promptly be archived.
They should do it like the InPost Fermopoint service, where to collect it you need a pickup code or QR code that only the recipient knows.
Personally, as a seller I have removed the pickup points option.

OP1 year agoHi Mario,
Unfortunately the Fermopoint can do little to nothing, and going after them would be a dead end, especially since they have nothing to do with it.
Also, the Fermopoint in question would have fewer tools than I do to go after Poste.
Looking at the situation, in fact, I’m pretty sure both the Fermopoint and the customer acted in good faith. It’s likely that the postal workers either threw the package around, forgot it at the logistics center, or stole it.
Luckily the product wasn’t worth much, but I’ll see if I can later recover this money through reconciliation or something else.
Thanks anyway for replying, and have a good evening.

·1 year agoHi teamcadrega_1
Unfortunately, every courier has its "problematic" areas
Then during periods of heavy shipping traffic like the holiday season, the problems multiply ....
Once the subscription ends, consider another courier.
To get the money back, you need to see what the clauses of Poste Italiane in your subscription provide.
Because in many cases Poste, in the event of loss/misplacement, reimburses something like 1 euro per kg....
Kind regards.
