Buongiorno a tutti,

Vista la preoccupazione di molti utenti e la ricezione di email ruba-account inserisco in questo thread qualche consiglio che spero potrà essere utile per utenti nuovi e non.

Mantenere e rendere la Community un posto più sicuro per la compravendita online è un compito che può esser svolto efficacemente solo se agli sforzi dello staff di eBay si affiancano quelli degli utenti più esperti ed attivi, sia per informare gli utenti nuovi sui vari forum, sia per monitorare lo spazio comune e riportare eventuali violazioni delle regole.

Qualora vogliate accertarvi della veridicita' delle comunicazioni inviate da eBay controllate il seguente tutorial:

Un utile strumento di supporto è la Toolbar di eBay che consente non solo di gestire al meglio vendite e acquisti ma anche di proteggere il tuo account.

L'icona de il Salva-account sulla Toolbar si trova in alto a sinistra dello schermo e funziona come una sorta di semaforo presentando tre colori diversi a seconda delle situazioni.


Indica che ti trovi su un sito eBay o PayPal

Non riesco più ad accedere al mio eBay,evidentemente è stato violato il mio account.E' stato cambiato a mia insaputa il mio indirizzo email.Il cambio mi è stato notificato da eBay il cui modo di procedere è quantomeno assurdo:non sarebbe meglio attendere una conferma dal titolare dell'indirizzo?E' urgente fare qualcosa,ma cosa se il sistema è inaccessibile per qualsiasi emergenza?Ho inviato la richiesta di aiuto ma la risposta verrà data entro 24/48 ore;e i danni procurati in queste ore chi li paga? Vi scrivo con ID di mia moglie il mio è osvy44.

Scrivo haimè per segnalare una truffa ai miei danni, sono un nuovo iscritto di ebay e non avendo visto attentamente i forum e le regole di e-bay mi sono lasciato convincere a fare una vendita al di fuori del sito, il presunto acquirente mi ha suggerito di usare un sistema di deposito in garanzia, solo dopo mi sono accorto che era un falso colossale, infatti tale sito risiede su server indiani su redirect di server in UK, il sito in questione e "www.ssl-deal.com" io ho perso un portatile valore 1200 euro. Accortomi del danno ho cercato di bloccare la spedizione ma invano, il pacco ormai era giunto in inghilterra.
Scrivo questo messaggio perchè si sappia e altri nn ripetano la mia terribile esperienza di ebayer alle prime armi. Solo dopo aver fatto il danno ho installato la toolbar di e-bay la quale prontamente mi segnalava il sito come contraffatto. meditate gente ... meditate.

Ok. Segnalato spoof, pare che il mio account non sia stato manomesso. Cambiato password e domanda segreta. La prossima volta non avrò momenti di distrazione... 😐

Questa (sfacciata) e-mail che ho ricevuto, in formato HTML e con subject "eBay Security Update", dice che eBay ha rilevato un "bug" di Windows, e invita a scaricare ed installare un patch per correggerlo. Inutile aggiungere che sia il "bottone" che l'apparente link "signin.ebay...." puntano invece ad un sito che niente ha a che fare con eBay (come mi e' stato confermato dallo Spoof Service) e che tenta di far scaricare e installare un file denominato "upd052.exe", probabilmente un trojan o qualcosa del genere. Suppongo che la mail circoli prevalentemente in Italia, dato che il sito contenente il falso patch è su un dominio registrato presso un provider italiano (al quale ho già inviato la segnalazione). SE RICEVETE QUESTA MAIL NON CLICCATE SU ALCUN LINK, E NON INSTALLATE NIENTE, ma cestinatela subito. Mi raccomando !! 😉
