yes, it was a series of "kids" books. this is a netflix series, the first 8 episodes are from the first 4 books. it's quite close to the books, unlike the movie with jim carrey. patrick warburton plays the narrator(lemony snicket) and neil patrick harris plays the dastardly count olaf..here's an article that is very well written that will tell you more about it-

lol, fortunately, my shows are staggered throughout the year, so there's usually only 2 or 3 on in any given week. i think i'm still catching up on all the years i worked nights and never got to watch tv. i actually binged all the seasons of buffy, and charmed, last summer, only to find out that my hubby had watched them! he's really bad about spoilers, i kept having to tell him to SHUT UP! 😄
i don't watch GOT since i don't have any of the premium channels, i figure i'll wait until it's over and then binge the whole thing next winter. i've got a book by GRRM that i love called fevre dream, i'd kill to see that made into a movie!
LOVELOVELOVE the walking dead! i recently found a free comicbook website, so i've started reading the whole series. it's a cool site, TONS of stuff, including hellblazer, the basis for the shortlived constantine that i adored. and lucifer and preacher too!
