Help with a return
Good morning,
The customer asked me for a full refund with the return of the item.
The reason was that I had listed the product as new condition, I wanted to list it in new condition other.
But since I accidentally listed it as new condition, it had in fact been opened and used to check whether everything worked.
Now I would like to know, since from the image it was clearly noticeable that it had been opened, do I still have to pay the return shipping costs if I have to do it anyway.
Then, to add something else, he asks me to give him a refund of €20 because on another site he found it for €20 less in like-new condition; it should be specified that the product I sent him was new but opened, then he sends me the screenshot of the site, which was bigeshop, a scam site.
In the end he asked me for the invoice for the product, what should I do?

Mentore2 years agoSince you made a mistake, the item is “not as described”, so you accept the return with shipping costs at your expense and buy a prepaid label to have the return sent to you.
As soon as you receive the return, refund through the eBay procedure.

OP2 years agoAs for the return.
Do I need to open some procedure on eBay?
(These are the first sales I'm making, it's the first time this has happened to me so I don't know if you have to open a dispute or something like that for the return)

Mentore2 years agoThe return request procedure should have been opened by the buyer.

You only need to accept and provide the label within the 3 days you have available ….. https://www.ebay.it/help/selling/managing-returns-refunds/come-gestire-una-richiesta-di-rimborso-venditori?id=4115
For the label …… https://resi.ebay.it

OP2 years agoThank you for your previous response.
The buyer (customer) no longer wants to do a full refund with a return, but wants a partial refund of 20 or 10 euros.
How can I proceed if I don't want to give them the partial refund?
Should I contact eBay support at this point, because by now the customer has also understood that they can't buy the product anywhere at such a low price, but they are still insisting on asking me for a partial refund.
Thank you for your advice.
