eBay doesn't communicate responses to our emails, and the chats are abandoned by the assistants

Does it happen to you too that eBay support doesn't take you into consideration? We don't receive replies to emails. In chat, while you're describing what you need, they leave the chat and you're left there without even having had a chance to get any answers? But maybe eBay is collapsing? Not even in very distant times was there a situation like this.

Hi everyone, recently I wrote a message to a seller regarding the shipping of an item and he knew my location without me having said it. When you send a message does ebay also include personal information like your location or anything else ? Thanks!

How can I contact Ebay through chat?
The Chat was officially discontinued on June 30. It was very pleasant because a support representative would respond to you in real time. Now you can request a call to your number or send an email. But when they reply by email, you get the feeling the responses are prepackaged, with an invitation to reread the sales or purchase rules that they add at the bottom. The replies are always preceded by thanks for your loyalty as a user, but they seem generic, electronic. For me it was a surprise because I was fond of the chat : ciao vonbalden, I'm Irina, tell me how I can help you.. you were sure that Irina, or Yuri, or Klaus, were on the other side like in a corporate call center. Now no more.

I’m including below the negative feedback I sent: Attention buyers, the seller refused to cancel the order I requested (due to my mistake), saying that he had shipped the item on May 29, while the shipping data shows the item was sent on June 2, 2026. So it could have been canceled, and the payment refunded to me. The seller told false lies, a skilled and very cunning person. He sells fake coins on his site and does not say that they are reproductions. I am a numismatic scholar and I know very well the authentic coins from the fake ones, which are junk. I said this for the protection of buyers and for honest sellers. Where is the protection for buyers, from dishonest sellers? There should be a commission to check sales. ? Many buyers are very disappointed. I am also bitter about what is happening. Seller’s site to be taken down. Thank you for your attention.

All my orders disappeared, even the emails confirming the listing were gone. I also had a small sale pending, I couldn't download the label and then everything disappeared. I'm a little worried

DAC7 and 730, how to behave
Last year I sold, net of eBay taxes, €2236.37 (of which €563.26 was shipping), for a total of 198 items. In the taxes section I still haven’t received anything, but since I’ve far exceeded the number of items (even though they were mostly low-value) how can I fill out the 730 without worrying? Will I end up having to pay 30% of the €2236 (so more than €700)? If so, the barely €1800 of money I actually collected by the end of the year will become 1100... Can I at least deduct the shipping costs for which I kept the receipts? Thanks.

STOLEN ITEM FOR SALE ON EBAY
A Leica lens stolen from a friend of mine has been put up for sale on ebay. The seller refuses to meet the buyer, doesn't have a real name, and only wants to ship it. When asked, the seller provided the serial number, so there is certainty that it is indeed the stolen item. What can be done?

Returning an item to a foreign seller
Hi everyone, I’d like to ask how eBay handles international returns with return shipping costs covered by the seller if the seller then doesn’t provide you with a way to return the item for free? Would they give you a return label (even though it seems to me they said that only applies to Italy), or could they only issue a refund? Thanks!

ebay, once again, has applied a 10-day restriction to our account (100% positive feedback and users for about 6 years), stating that the sale of drugs and/or certain chemical-pharmaceutical products and materials is prohibited on ebay; in this regard and to our great surprise, we pointed out to "ebay" that we advertise and sell exclusively textbooks, manuals and brochures on chemistry, so even the most ignorant person in the world can tell the difference between a "book" and a chemical substance, but ebay and/or whoever made such a decision and false statement cannot tell the difference. Our complaint was of no use, much less did ebay accept our explanation, with their decision remaining valid... is this really ebay ???, maybe a few more days at school could help them understand the difference hahahahah !

So you're telling me it's this easy to get scammed on eBay?
I bought an item on eBay from an international seller. The seller uploaded a FedEx tracking number, and the package now shows as “delivered”. The problem is that I never received anything. When I checked the proof of delivery, it only showed that the package was delivered in my city, not to my full address. Even worse, the name/signature on the delivery receipt is not mine. So now I’m wondering: is it really this easy to scam someone here? A seller could theoretically ship a random package to a different address in the same city, get a “delivered” tracking status, and then eBay may treat it as proof that the buyer received the item, even if the tracking does not show delivery to the buyer’s exact address. That's actually crazy. I mean, this basically means you can't safely buy anything on here unless it's from an account with thousands of reviews.
