Notice mc139
good morning, I sold a phone last week and the buyer's bank wrote to me saying that I will receive payment only once the item has been delivered, since it's the first time I have sold on eBay is that correct, is that how it works? also, last night I received a communication from eBay with a notice code MC139 saying that an unauthorized third party accessed the buyer's account, how should I handle this? is there any risk for the sale from last week? Thanks!

Mentore2 years agoEbay has its own payment rules, and these payments will never be intermediated by the buyer's bank.
How did they get your email or your phone number?
I hope it wasn't you who gave it to them; on ebay, it's forbidden to give contact information to buyers.
Most likely the second email is fake too and is meant to prepare the buyer's defense against your complaints
Try contacting the courier and see if you can block the shipment.
Otherwise, all you can do is file a report, but you won't get anything back.

Mentore2 years agoI don't know how long ago you sent it, but try to stop the shipment and have it sent back, you're the sender so you should have that option.
Better to lose the shipping money than the phone.
