How to behave when you think it's a scam
I'm about to get an item that, before the bidding started, had gone unnoticed by anyone.
"Magically" in the last few hours a user has shown up, 0 feedback, new account, who keeps bidding higher.
Now, does Ebay do any checks to prevent the seller from bidding against you with a fake account?

Even if it were one of his friend's, how could you prove it.
Generally I make a single bid 7-8 seconds before the listing ends. I bid the max amount I’d still be happy to win the item for, and I don’t look at what the other users are doing.
