I have a question
Summary: A discussion request was created by Anonymous User titled "I have a question", but it does not contain any specific content to summarize.
I bought a DVD from the United States on March 16, and I paid 31.88 euros. On April 16 I received an email telling me I would receive the DVD by the end of the day. It didn’t arrive, and neither did it the following week: I regularly checked the tracking and it always showed it was out for delivery. I waited, but after a few days I went to the Central Post Office, where they told me that no delivery attempt had ever even been made because "the recipient's details were not sufficient". I wrote to the seller but he didn’t reply.
I then opened a dispute with eBay to get my money back because evidently the address wasn’t written properly, I don’t know what to think. I live across from the Post Office in a detached house, I receive packages and they know me. eBay told me they were taking until May 5 (from April 23) to decide the dispute because the seller claims the DVD is on its way. Obviously the tracking
eBay just wrote to me to say that they are postponing the decision again until May 15 the seller showed the shipping receipt, so "it’s on its way and I have to wait". BUT the 15th is also the deadline to be able to return it! After two months (I needed it for work) I don’t want it anymore.
So it seems that eBay is in cahoots with the seller, honestly.
What should I do, in your opinion? Is there a kind soul, and someone wiser than me, who can advise me?
THANKS

Mentore1 year agoThe seller receives from ebay the address you registered as the delivery address.
If the seller made a mistake when transcribing it, that will be their problem; if you made the mistake ….
Check the address on your account, if it is correct, have ebay customer service contact you.

OP1 year agoHi Mario and thanks.
But what baffles me is that eBay “settled” for the fact that the seller showed them the shipping receipt; they didn’t even take into account that I pointed out that not only was there not even an attempt at delivery, but that the DVD hadn’t even stayed in storage for an hour, it was sent straight back. In short, I couldn’t even exercise my right of withdrawal because “the item was on its way.” First they gave me a deadline for the final ruling, and then, (what a coincidence!) another one, which matches the maximum time to return it and ask for a refund.
They had to have the right address anyway, since I paid with Paypal... rather, what kind of shady shipping was that that took more than a month, they didn’t leave it in storage.... ah, I live opposite the central post office, a detached house, impossible to get wrong. I’ll see what happens, but eBay’s behavior seems very unfair to me, doesn’t it to you...?
