Listing blocked because it contains informational and documentation links
Summary: The discussion concerns the blocked post for containing informational and documentation links. tecnogrunt mentioned the incident, while sika700 responded without adding any further details or additional comments.
I put an item up for sale (HDMI over IP converter), but only the transmitter part because I had bought it like that by mistake a while ago, so it needs either its receiver or external tools to be able to view the streams; otherwise it’s just a paperweight. For this reason I reported a couple of sites where users had found a way to use it without its receiver, so there was no personal contact information or anything illegal, just technical info. In response, eBay blocked the listing and, after I asked for an explanation in which I explained the nature of the links, today I got this:
"Thank you again for your report. We want to inform you that we have closed the report regarding the listings indicated below. These listings were not removed. This decision was made with the help of automation or artificial intelligence."
Further down were the reference codes and the link to submit a complaint; too bad the link doesn’t lead anywhere:
"No results found.
To see the details, provide the correct information."
What correct information? It’s a link that came by email, I can’t change it!
On top of that, the listing can no longer be edited or deleted, so if I wanted to correct the mistake and remove the incriminating links, I can’t do that anymore.

Mentore5 months agoThe rules on links are clear... did you read them before putting your item up for sale?
