PayPal payment deducted but purchase not completed: help! | Questions and answers among users

Hello everyone,a week ago I tried to make a purchase on eBay worth about €4000, paying with PayPal. The payment on PayPal went through, but once I returned to eBay I saw an error screen saying that the purchase had not gone through. The problem is that the money was deducted from my account, but there is no trace of the payment on either eBay or PayPal. I contacted eBay support via chat and was told, 6 days ago, that the money would be credited back within 48 hours, but as of today that still hasn’t happened. Has anyone else had the same problem? Do you know how to fix it? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
