eBay Extra Rewards Points Program
Good morning
I completed a purchase on Ebay paying with Paypal (9 lots all from the same private seller for a total of €52) and on Ebay Extra I was credited only 9 points instead of 52 (in practice only the first lot of €9), who should I contact to open a dispute? The contest terms and conditions are clear (Art.4.1.3.). The help page published by the site is misleading, it asks for the seller's name, address and email, not the platform's: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/main/index.cfm?event=main.home2.show&lng=IT
4.1.3. Conversion of transactions into eBay points
In the Program's personal page, the eBay Extra user can view the points value of each eligible transaction. The transaction's points value is equivalent to the purchase price (including taxes and excluding any coupons, postage costs and other costs). For clarity, the amount of eBay points is rounded up or down based on the transaction value. For example, if the transaction value is EUR 50.50 (or another value between EUR 50.50 and EUR 50.99), the amount of eBay points is rounded up to 51 points.
Every purchase you make on eBay.it allows you to earn points. You receive one point for every euro spent on the product purchase, excluding shipping costs. For example, if you buy a product for €100 (excluding shipping costs), you will get 100 points and have €1 off your next order. During promotional campaigns you can earn even more points. It applies to payments made with PayPal, direct debit, credit or debit card, Google Pay and Apple Pay.

OP1 year agoEven support didn’t know it, the non-EU lady wasn’t convinced either, she didn’t convince me and didn’t inspire much trust, the ‘not eligible’ transition has nothing to do with it and then what does that mean? Everything was tracked, the rules are clear. Anyway, I repeated the purchase and they applied the points again to the first order ONLY
